Wine Educator & Hospitality

Lenné Estate

Yamhill, OR

Apply

Job Description:

Lenné Estate has an immediate opening on our hospitality team.

At Lenné, we seek to create genuine and memorable tasting room visits. Bespoke hospitality and wine education is essential to us. Our goal is to deliver the highest quality experience possible, forging and maintaining long term customer relationships via our exceptional wines and best in class customer satisfaction. Prior tasting room experience is essential, but your personality, enthusiasm, and wine knowledge are the most important features of a quality candidate.

Our tasting space is among the most beautiful and comfortable in the Willamette Valley, with an amazing view, spacious interior, rooftop, and patio seating, and our traffic has been steadily increasing since we reopened last April after a 2+ year renovation, so we're looking to expand our team.

We're seeking one person for full time, though two part timers could also work. Shifts would be most weekends, plus some weekdays. We are a small team with a big drive to expand, and staffers who can wear multiple hats are welcome. Want to help with our social media, event planning and execution, photography, or do some computer work from home? Host vineyard tours? Learn to make amazing pizzas? Host private dinners, weddings, corporate events, and represent the brand at trade events? Opportunities abound.

Requirements and responsibilities:
•  Must be 21 years of age or older.
•  Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
•  Must have or be able to obtain OLCC Alcohol Service Permit and Oregon food handler's license.
•  Be warm, friendly, outgoing, professional, reliable, and trustworthy, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
•  Have a passion for fine wines and wine making and a dedication to continued learning.
•  Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings. Reliability and punctuality are essential.
•  Computer skills including Commerce7 PoS, Tock, and Google Docs are recommended.
•  Please dress professionally and comfortably.
•  You must be able to multi-task and juggle multiple responsibilities.
•  Must be able to lift 50lbs above shoulder height on a regular basis, be comfortable standing for long periods of time, and lift, bend, squat, and push/pull large objects with relative ease.
•  We are looking to hire and begin training immediately.

Compensation. $19-25/hour, plus shared tips, wine club sign up commissions, and a 2.5% - 4.5% wine sales commission. (Typical take home is double+ the hourly wage.)

This position has immediate availability. Please include a brief cover letter describing why you think you would be a great fit at Lenné, along with your resume. All applications will be treated confidentially.
