Full-time position with weekend availability required. We are a small team located in NW Santa Rosa. Looking for someone that can multi-task, work both independently and with a team. Will need great attention to detail for our established loyal wine club members and any interested customers. Sharing your enthusiasm for the wine industry with a positive attitude and genuine interest in customers’ backgrounds and interests will benefit all.
Responsibilities include:
1. Serve guests in tasting room and at outside events, speak knowledgeably about each wine
2. Encourage guests to purchase wines and join wine club
3. Take orders, put in POS system (VinNow can be learned quickly)
4. Pack tasting room shipments, create labels/manifests, follow up/ track shipments to resolve issues.
5. Help maintain tax-paid case goods inventory by unloading inbound cases from pallets onto storage wall, and knowing when a wine (or other inventory item) is getting depleted and needs re-ordering
6. Perform quarterly physical inventory of case goods, library and merchandise
7. Answer most of winery’s incoming phone calls as receptionist
8. Participate in large special events and in-house wine dinners as needed, including helping with set-up and decoration, clean-up and breakdown, shopping if needed
9. Keep tasting room tidy, clean, and organized (dust awards/hutch, vacuum floors, clean windows, clean and supply all winery bathrooms, take out trash, etc.)
10. Creative marketing input on email and social media such as Facebook and Instagram
11. Standing for long periods of time (up to 8 hours per day)
12. Moderate to heavy physical work, moving wine cases and retail supplies: ability to lift at least 45 pounds repeatedly (case of wine) and carry case(s) of wine to customers’ vehicles after purchase, as well as load and unload cases for offsite events and to stock tasting room.
