Tasting Room Manager

Coeur de Terre Vineyard

McMinnville, OR

Apply

Job Description:

About Coeur de Terre Vineyard
Coeur de Terre Vineyard is a family-owned, estate winery located in the McMinnville AVA of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Since 2002, we have been dedicated exclusively to wines from our organically and regeneratively farmed estate vineyard. Our approach in both vineyard and winery is intentional and minimalist — allowing site, season, and vine to speak clearly through the wines.

Our tasting room experience reflects that same philosophy: education-driven, authentic, and deeply connected to place. Our wines consistently earn 90+ scores, and our tasting room maintains a 4.9-star Google rating. We are committed to creating long-term customer relationships through meaningful experiences and exceptional hospitality.

Position Overview
The Tasting Room Manager is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving direct-to-consumer (DTC) revenue, wine club growth, team performance, and overall guest experience at our estate tasting room.

This position blends hospitality leadership, sales strategy, event execution, and operational oversight. The ideal candidate is sales-driven, detail-oriented, and energized by leading from the front — modeling excellence in service while developing a high-performing team.

Core Responsibilities

Drive tasting room revenue and wine club acquisition

Lead by example in selling and guest engagement

Monitor key performance indicators (conversion rate, average order value, club sign-ups)

Identify and implement strategies to grow repeat visitation and loyalty

Maintain CRM accuracy and follow-up communication standards

Guest Experience & Hospitality
Deliver educational, engaging tasting experiences that reflect our estate philosophy

Maintain exceptional service standards consistent with our 4.9 rating

Manage reservation flow to optimize guest experience

Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly

Events & Seasonal Programming
Plan and execute wine club pickup events and seasonal activations

Collaborate with ownership on marketing-driven events

Develop creative programming during slower months (November–April) to drive traffic

Support winery participation in off-site events as needed

Operations & Administration
Oversee daily opening/closing procedures

Manage inventory levels and restocking

Maintain compliance with OLCC regulations

Track and report monthly performance metrics

Assist ownership with budgeting and forecasting input

Seasonal Expectations
Peak season: May–October (higher traffic, weekend commitment required)

Off-season: November–April (focus on event development and traffic generation)

This is a hands-on management role; weekend and holiday availability is required.

During slower months, you may assist in additional winery functions to support overall operations.

Qualifications
Required:

2+ years hospitality or tasting room management experience

Demonstrated success in sales performance

Experience leading and developing a team

Strong communication and public presentation skills

Ability to work weekends and peak seasonal schedules
