Job Title: Tasting Room Host

Reports To: Tasting Room Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet customers and offer the opportunity to taste our wines either in our Tasting Room or the Terrace. This will include educating our guests on viticulture, winemaking practices, appellations and wine varietals while representing the RSWE brands in an attentive, courteous, and friendly manner.
• Perform hospitality functions in the tasting room, greet all guests, provide tasting and wine education
• Conduct consumer and VIP tours of various sizes.
• Encourage and complete on-site retail sales of wine and gift items.
• Promote Wine Club memberships to guests and process club sign-ups.
• Assist tasting room/hospitality managers, events managers, and other staff in special projects as needed.
• Assist customers with purchases
• Assist with off-site tastings and winery events when needed
• Perform various duties such as washing and stocking glasses, dusting, and stocking wine and gift items, completing general clean-up of all guest areas and Tax Paid throughout the day. This can include monitoring the tasting room, restrooms, and all public areas. Maintain a clean and safe work environment including strict adherence to all company safety rules and regulations
• Assist with special events
• Other duties may be assigned when needed
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Wine knowledge and previous restaurant experience desired
• Computer literate: Microsoft Office and Wine Direct system a plus
• Ability to multi-task in a rapid and fast paced environment
• Flexible schedule for extended hours and weekend work
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
• Must be 21 years of age
