Position Overview
The Hospitality Manager leads the day-to-day operations of the tasting room, ensuring exceptional service standards, team alignment, and operational readiness. Reporting to the Director of Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Sales, this role translates strategic goals into thoughtful execution on the floor while fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and genuine hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Tasting Room Operations
* Oversee daily tasting room service and guest flow
* Maintain elevated hospitality standards aligned with the Ashes & Diamonds brand
* Ensure operational readiness including menus, supplies, collateral, and presentation
* Anticipate and resolve guest experience challenges with professionalism and care
* Serve as the primary operational leader during service hours
* Lead the team in special event execution.
Team Leadership
* Lead, coach, and support a dynamic hospitality team
* Manage scheduling, shift coverage, and labor alignment
* Support onboarding and ongoing training of team members
* Provide consistent feedback and performance guidance
* Foster a collaborative, accountable, and positive team culture
Guest Experience
* Deliver warm, personalized, and memorable guest interactions
* Act as a point of escalation for service recovery
* Maintain strong floor presence and support team success
* Reinforce service standards through hands-on leadership
DTC Execution
* Partner with the Director of DTC Sales on implementing sales initiatives
* Support wine sales and membership growth strategies
* Monitor performance relative to hospitality and revenue goals
* Communicate priorities clearly and consistently to the team
Collaboration
* Work closely with Events, Marketing, and Operations teams
* Support planning and execution of special experiences
* Communicate operational insights and opportunities to leadership
Qualifications
* 3–5+ years of hospitality leadership experience
* Strong operational and organizational skills
* Proven ability to lead teams with empathy and accountability
* Excellent communication and guest engagement skills
* Passion for wine, food, and thoughtful service
* Availability to work weekends and holidays
