Tasting Room Lead

Emeritus Vineyards | Russian River Valley

Emeritus Vineyards is seeking a goal-oriented Tasting Room Lead to help drive Direct-to-Consumer sales and deliver elevated, terroir-focused guest experiences. Reporting to the Hospitality & Community Engagement Manager, this role combines floor leadership, revenue accountability, and operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Performance

•  Support and exceed monthly and annual DTC sales goals

•  Drive KPIs including conversion rate, AOV, and wine club acquisition

•  Cultivate long-term guest relationships to increase loyalty and retention

Leadership

•  Act as Manager on Duty when leadership is absent

•  Mentor and support team members to deliver high-touch, proactive hospitality

•  Assist with training, pre-shift meetings, and sales strategy execution

Operations

•  Oversee opening/closing procedures and daily floor operations

•  Manage guest communications, club pickups, reporting, and inventory support

•  Maintain CRM accuracy (Commerce7) and resolve guest issues professionally

Brand Experience

•  Deliver engaging, story-driven tastings focused on estate vineyards and dry-farming practices

•  Serve as a brand ambassador at events and community activations



Qualifications

•  2+ years in retail, sales, or tasting room leadership, or related degreed

•  Strong communication and organizational skills

•  Comfortable with Tock, Commerce7, and Excel

•  Wine certification (WSET, CMS, CSW) preferred

•  Ability to lift 45+ lbs and work on your feet

•  Valid Driver’s License and insurable record required

32 hours/week | Onsite | Sundays & Mondays (non-negotiable) + 2 more (Friday & Saturday preferred) | Weekend & occasional evening availability required
