Position Summary
The Wine Ambassador serves as a key representative of the winery’s brand, delivering exceptional hospitality experiences while driving direct-to-consumer wine sales. This role is responsible for hosting elevated tastings, educating guests on the winery’s history and portfolio, and cultivating long-term customer relationships that support membership and revenue growth. The Wine Ambassador ensures every guest interaction reflects the winery’s standards of excellence, professionalism, and warmth.
Key Responsibilities
•  Host engaging, informative, and personalized wine tastings for guests, members, and VIP visitors.
•  Deliver exceptional hospitality that reflects the winery’s values, heritage, and commitment to quality.
•  Educate guests on the winery’s history, winemaking philosophy, vineyards, and current release wines.
•  Drive direct-to-consumer sales through thoughtful recommendations, product knowledge, and relationship-building.
•  Promote and enroll guests into wine club memberships, ensuring a seamless and positive onboarding experience.
•  Maintain a polished, professional presence in all guest-facing interactions.
•  Support daily tasting room operations, including setup, breakdown, restocking, and maintaining a clean, organized environment.
•  Accurately process sales transactions, shipments, and reservations.
•  Assist with private tastings, trade visits, and special events as needed.
•  Uphold all compliance standards related to alcohol service, safety, and hospitality protocols.
•  Represent the winery with integrity and discretion at all times.
Qualifications
•  Prior experience in hospitality, wine service, tasting rooms, or luxury guest services preferred.
•  Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect authentically with diverse guests.
•  Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to meet or exceed revenue and membership goals.
•  Professional, polished demeanor and a genuine passion for wine and hospitality.
•  Ability to work weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
•  Must be at least 21 years of age.
•  Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
