We’re seeking a dynamic Hospitality & Sales Associate who thrives in a guest-facing environment and confidently transforms engaging conversations into wine sales and memberships. In this role, you’ll lead thoughtful tastings in both our Tasting Room and private Enoteca Tasting Salon, delivering elevated wine and food pairing experiences alongside our award-winning culinary team — all while driving results through personalized recommendations and proactive outreach.

Position Responsibilities:
• Lead engaging, educational tastings in both the Tasting Room and private Enoteca Tasting Salon, delivering elevated wine and food pairing experiences.
• Consistently drive wine, food, and membership sales to meet and exceed individual and team revenue goals.
• Convert first-time visitors into loyal customers through relationship-building, personalized recommendations, and confident closing techniques.
• Actively promote and enroll guests in the Wine Memberships, articulating benefits and long-term value.
• Conduct proactive outreach including phone calls, personalized emails, and follow-up communication to generate repeat visits and sales.
• Build and maintain a strong book of business, nurturing repeat guests and club members.
• Collaborate closely with the culinary and hospitality teams to ensure high-quality guest experience.
• Maintain deep knowledge of Clif Family wines, estate vineyards, organic farming practices, and culinary offerings to effectively tell our story.
• Assist with special events, member experiences, and private group tastings as needed.
• Accurately process transactions, manage reservations, and maintain CRM records.
• Support daily opening and closing procedures and ensure the hospitality spaces are pristine and welcoming.
• Represent Clif Family’s values of sustainability, community, and integrity in every guest interaction.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in luxury hospitality, fine wine sales, or a high-touch, goal-driven sales environment with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
• Demonstrated ability to build long-term client relationships, confidently close high-value sales, and convert guests into repeat customers and wine members.
• Strong wine knowledge required; formal wine education (WSET, CMS, or similar) preferred. Deep understanding of food and wine pairing and Napa Valley hospitality landscape a plus.
• Proficiency with CRM and POS systems; experience with TOCK and Shopify preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and adapt to different guest personalities.
• Highly organized with strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, competitive, and results-driven while maintaining warmth and hospitality excellence.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 40–50 lbs.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
