Job Description:

The Kobel Hospitality team is seeking a highly organized and service-driven Event Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and execution of a wide range of internal and external winery events. This role reports to the Director of Hospitality and collaborates across multiple departments to create memorable experiences for VIP guests, corporate partners, and visitors. The position requires a flexible schedule, working evenings and weekends as needed. Hospitality, customer service, and food service experience needed.

Key Responsibilities
•  Coordinate and execute winery events including VIP experiences, corporate partner visits, internal events, and consumer-facing programs
•  Serve as a primary liaison for visiting partners and VIP guests, coordinating itineraries, accommodations, and on-site logistics
•  Manage guesthouse check-ins and provide facility walkthroughs for arriving guests
•  Coordinate décor, menus, staffing, and event logistics to ensure seamless execution
•  Maintain weekly calendars for guesthouse stays, executive lunches, VIP tastings, and internal event spaces
•  Schedule and coordinate on-call servers and serve as lead server for VIP dinners
•  Collaborate across multiple departments including housekeeping, winemakers, chefs, and executives for VIP visits.
•  Provide operational support across hospitality functions as needed

Qualifications & Skills
•  Strong hospitality and customer service background, with experience delivering high-level service to VIP or executive guests
•  3-5 years of experience in the food and beverage, event planning or customer service field
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•  Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
•  Positive, collaborative attitude with strong teamwork skills
•  Ability to lead projects independently and work calmly under pressure
•  Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
•  Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred
•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
•  Experience creating menus, event collateral, or promotional materials preferred
•  Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and event-based hours
•  Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record required
•  California Food Handler certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)

The pay scale for this position is $27.23 - $36.77/hour depending on experience.
