About us:
Rudd Estate is a small, family-owned and operated winery located in the heart of Oakville, looking to add to our dedicated Team.
This is a multi-faceted position that requires initiative, creativity, organization, high energy level and elevated communication skills with guests and co-workers.
Enthusiasm for exceptional customer experience is a must.
Hospitality:
Handle private visit inquiries via emails and dedicated text platform.
Handle private event requests and ensure proper execution.
Greet all guests promptly and graciously and provide knowledgeable and consistent experience.
Handle questions and/or issues to guests’ satisfaction.
Focus on building tasting room sales, customer base, word of mouth and cross referrals.
Accurately handle daily tasks as well as POS transactions, including processing orders and returns.
Prepare the Tasting Room for opening and closing daily.
Process wine shipping orders in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Stock merchandise, wine and supplies as needed.
Maintain orderliness of the Tasting Room.
Participate in team efforts and perform additional duties as needed.
Sales Coordination:
WINE ALLOCATION AND OFFERING
Support the DTC department with Allocations, Campaigns for the Rudd and Crossroads brands, assisting with customer purchase evaluation and Allocation Tier set up.
DATABASE
Ensure orders accuracy between our POS, compliance, and finance/operations systems.
Customer database cleanup for all brands to include unsubscribe requests, duplicate accounts, invalid emails, return mailers.
INVENTORY
Assist with the set up and maintenance of product SKUs, and monthly physical inventory counts and reconciliation.
SHIPPING AND FULFILLMENT
Organize and arrange all orders for timely shipping with our in-house fulfillment center. Coordinate shipments based on customer expectations and requests.
Address delivery related issues directly with our customers, always striving for a positive customer experience and satisfaction. Ensure that returned or damaged packages are rectified and reconciled in our database.
Necessary Skills:
Strong English verbal communication skills. Courteous and friendly. Team player.
Detailed oriented, analytical and organized are required skills
Ability to present information effectively to groups of customers and/or employees and participate in one-on-one and small group situations.
Apply common sense understanding to multiple tasks, analyze and solve practical problems, prioritize, and delegate tasks and projects, work both independently and as part of a team, and adapt to frequent changes in the work environment.
Trustworthy and reliable.
Computer:
Excellent PC skills (e-mail, Excel, Word, basic database activity)
ECellar and Ship Compliant experience a plus.
Licences:
Current, valid Driver’s
Physical requirements:
Moderate physical activity performing activities including standing, walking, climbing, reaching, and carrying. Manual dexterity is sufficient to reach, handle items, and work with the fingers. Requires lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs. in weight. Clear vision (close and distant) and ability to adjust focus. Hearing adequate for telephone, office, and group conversation.
Work Environment:
Primarily in a well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned indoor setting with adequate ventilation. Short periods outdoors while conducting tours or moving between buildings. Moderate noise levels typical of public space: music sound system, public conversations, telephones/cell phones, large groups.
Schedule and Travel Requirements:
Variable schedule that requires Saturday, periodic evenings, and/or periodic or seasonal overtime
