Job Description
Norris Wines is an Estate – Grown brand focusing on Oregon Pinot Noir and Riesling. We are seeking an enthusiastic, service-oriented Hospitality Associate to join our team at our estate winery on Ribbon Ridge. This role is the first point of contact for many of our guests and plays a vital part in delivering an exceptional, welcoming, and educational wine experience.

The ideal candidate is an engaging wine enthusiast who enjoys connecting with people, telling stories, and contributing wherever needed in a small winery environment. This position requires flexibility, initiative, and a “whatever it takes” mindset to support daily operations and guest experience.

Responsibilities

Primary Job Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
•  Warmly greet guests and set the tone for a high-quality, engaging tasting experience
•  Deliver personalized hospitality in both private and casual tasting formats
•  Confidently discuss wines, winemaking techniques, and winery history; respond thoughtfully to guest questions
•  Share the winery’s story with strong storytelling skills
•  Promote and sell wine and wine club memberships organically—no pressure tactics
•  Process transactions using POS systems, including packing orders and collecting shipping information
•  Maintain tasting room supplies, including polished glassware, stocked wine fridge, wine carriers, shippers, brochures, and other materials
•  Perform general housekeeping duties: cleaning work areas, wiping counters, dusting, bussing tables, and refilling water stations
•  Assist with setup and breakdown for daily service and special events
•  Meet monthly sales goals in the tasting room and through outbound communication (phone and email)
•  Build and maintain relationships with referral partners
•  Assist with inventory management and warehouse operations

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
•  Must be 21 years of age or older
•  Valid OLCC Server Permit (or ability to obtain one)
•  Positive attitude and strong team player
•  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with flexibility and openness
•  Excellent time management and prioritization skills
•  Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•  Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and remain active on the floor
•  Comfortable standing for extended periods of time
•  Proficient computer skills
•  Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn
•  Experience in customer service, food service, wine, or hospitality preferred
•  Availability to work peak traffic times, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings
•  Flexible and adaptable in a continually evolving small-business environment

Compensation

Competitive hourly wage plus tips and commissions.
Pay based on experience and agreed-upon scope of work.
