Harvest Cellar Hand – 2026 Vintage

Alexana Estate Vineyards & Winery is seeking Harvest Cellar Hands to join our close-knit winemaking team for the 2026 harvest season. This is a seasonal position beginning in late August and running through early November. Alexana produces approximately 18,000 cases of small-lot Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc at our estate winery in the Dundee Hills. Fruit is primarily sourced from our estate vineyards, with additional fruit from high-quality grower partners across the Willamette Valley.
Our highly acclaimed winery features state-of-the-art processing and analytical equipment, offering harvest cellar hands exposure to the techniques essential for producing world-class wine. While prior harvest experience is preferred, we encourage motivated individuals new to winemaking to apply.
We believe great wines are crafted in the vineyard. This position provides meaningful exposure to our organically certified estate vineyards and grower partner sites, where you will experience firsthand how regenerative farming practices and thoughtful vineyard decisions shape our wines and express a true sense of place.
At Alexana, community matters. During harvest we prioritize daily team lunches prepared by our in-house winery chef, as well as collaborative cellar tours with neighboring wineries, fostering connection and broadening exposure to diverse winemaking styles and terroirs throughout Oregon.
Job Duties Include (but are not limited to):
• Grape receiving, sorting, pressing
• Racking, juice and must additions, inoculations
• Punchdowns and pumpovers
• Barrel preparation and filling
• Winery sanitation
• Basic lab work and vineyard sampling
• Bottling, tasting/sensory evaluation, and general winery operations
Forklift training will be provided prior to harvest.
Qualifications:
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and enthusiasm for winemaking
• Ability to work long hours, overtime, weekends, and varying shifts
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Previous harvest experience preferred, but not required
