ABOUT THE JOB
The WDW Director of Portfolio will include the following responsibilities:

Hands-on execution in achieving corporate and winery objectives
Lead the brand building efforts of key agency suppliers within the WDW commercial team and to the market
Recruit new supplier additions to WDW that compliments its current portfolio structure, supports the company’s financial goals and aligns with the ethos of the organization
Development of impactful programming tools for company and supplier initiatives
Effective and professional communication with WDW suppliers
Help to manage supplier expectations regarding proper inventory par levels
Coordinate directly with the Senior-Vice Presidents and Directors in achieving distribution goals
Assist with winery and WDW trade events

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/THE DAY-TO-DAY
Establish new relationships with potential suppliers and effectively recruit into WDW.
Manage relationships with wineries: Goals, market activities, inventory management, and pricing.
Plan activities to ensure the achievement of company?and winery objectives.
Monitor the activities of the sales and management?teams in relation to performance
Actively engage / sell into all 3 markets independently to drive business forward WDW
Communicate sales challenges and opportunities to the sales team
Provide education for the sales team on any given brand
Executing WDW business/budget plan to achieve financial?objectives for the individual market
Guide, motivate, and assist with execution to achieve company and winery expectations
Understanding key customers’ business operations and the?relevance of our products.
Positively contribute to company culture and practices
Active participation in all three wholesale markets to move company objectives forward

AM I THE RIGHT FIT?
Not everyone can be a Portfolio Director. To be seriously considered for the role here is what you’ll bring:

Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree
Minimum of 8 years of experience in the Fine Wine and/or Hospitality industry
Experience working with premium-oriented wineries and understanding their objectives
Skills:
Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs
Candidate should be personable & energetic, with a strong global knowledge of wine and a professional business etiquette.
From a team perspective, the candidate should be highly-collaborative and detail-oriented.
Knowledge of a diverse range of retail and restaurant types along with their business goals
The ability to utilize and create diverse tools for marketing the company’s products
Knowledge of Romance languages (French, Italian, and Spanish) is preferred.
Knowledge and/or ability with computer graphic design programs is preferred.

Physical requirements:

Must be able to stoop, bend, squat, and reach more than 4 hours a day.
Must be able to work varying hours including some night and weekend work.
Willing and able to travel to accounts.
Lifting and carrying: this role may involve lifting and carrying product samples, promotional materials, or demonstration equipment up to 50 lbs.
