As a Financial Analyst focused on FP&A, you will support the Manager, Financial Planning & Performance by delivering high-quality reporting, forecasting and commercial insights. This position plays a key role in analyzing sales and marketing performance, trade spend and financial results. In addition, you will help drive the planning cycles and deliver key reports used by Finance, Sales, and Executive leadership.
Location - The ideal candidate is based in the North Bay and is able to commute to our offices in downtown Healdsburg and/or Hopland at least one to two times per week, based on collaboration and business needs. Candidates based elsewhere in California may also be considered. Travel will be approximately 10% to 15%.
Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Forecasting
• Support the annual planning and rolling forecast processes for revenue, trade spend, and contribution margin
• Maintain and update financial models that project P&Ls by brand, channel, and customer
• Work cross-functionally to gather inputs and assumptions from Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams
Performance Reporting and Analysis
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages highlighting performance vs. plan, forecast, and prior year
• Conduct variance analysis across volume, revenue, price/mix, trade spend, and profitability
• Track and analyze promotional spend effectiveness and key commercial metrics
Business Support & Insights
• Assist in developing dashboards and tools to provide visibility into key KPIs
• Partner with Sales and Brand teams to deliver insights that inform pricing, programming, and investment decisions
• Provide ad hoc analysis in support of commercial initiatives and executive requests
Process & System Support
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across planning tools and reporting systems (e.g., Power BI, IBP, SAP)
• Contribute to process improvements to streamline reporting and reduce manual efforts
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field and minimum of 2-4 years relevant experience in FP&A, financial analysis, commercial finance, or equivalent combination education/experience
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP/planning systems, preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to independently prepare analyses with high degree of accuracy and within deadlines
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal, and ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and all levels of management; ability to communicate complex issues in a clear, concise manner
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal/external contacts
• Ability to travel approximately 5% - 10% of time
Preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency with SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP), a plus
• Prior experience in the wine industry or knowledge of the three-tier system sets you apart
• Enthusiasm fort sustainability, wine, or mission-driven business, a advantage
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift/carry up to 10 lbs.; push/pull up to 15 lbs. on an occasional basis; ability to sit/work at desk on a frequent basis; requires ability to walk, stand, climb, crawl, squat, kneel,bend on an occasional basis; reach outward/upward on frequent basis; requires constant sitting, and hand and finger dexterity for keyboarding and working with computer/device. Additional physical requirements required as related to domestic/international travel via air and ground transportation.
Compensation - The target salary range for this role is between $78,000 - $85,000/year. Actual rates will vary and are based on a candidate’s relevant education, qualifications, experience, skillset, competencies, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.
