We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Wine Club Specialist. This role plays a crucial part in nurturing relationships with our valued wine club members, driving membership growth, and ensuring an outstanding guest experience.
POSITION SUMMARY
This full-time position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and attention to detail through phone and email. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys interacting with guests and members and is looking for an office role. Reporting to the Wine Club Manager, the Wine Club Specialist responds to any club related aspects and tasks including inquiries related to visitation, wine purchases, promotions, shipping, and Wine Club membership. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and has a friendly and professional demeanor.
The schedule for this position is Tuesday to Saturday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• First responder for routine DTC client service needs via phone and email, responding in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist club members with orders, updating account information, handling special requests, shipping issues, and following up on declined transactions.
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills (ie: bad bottles, delivery issues).
• Book appointments for winery experiences in Tock reservation system.
• Maintain customer database, keeping information up to date, including new customer and membership entry, account updates, membership cancellations, and will-call pickups.
• Logistics support for daily shipping of DTC orders with fulfillment partners.
• Assist Wine Club Manager and Marketing with all club communication (notifications, reminders, announcements, events).
• Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS + REQUIREMENTS
• Excellent customer service and hospitality skills.
• A minimum of 1-3 years of wine industry DTC sales, service, or hospitality.
• Exposure to wine club operations and experience with logistics is desirable.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm while assisting members and clients over the phone and via email. Wine knowledge and certification is desirable.
• Position requires advanced computer skills, with Commerce7; Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel); Microsoft Outlook; and familiarity with DTC compliance preferred.
