Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Outside Sales Representative to drive sales and grow our market presence. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented professional with a passion for wine, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to cultivate relationships with clients. This individual will represent Lecavalier Cellars in their assigned territory, promoting our portfolio of wines and embodying our brand’s commitment to sustainability and excellence.
Location: Greater Sacramento Area, Bay Area, Northern Califoirnia
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities with restaurants, retailers, wine shops, and distributors within the assigned territory.
• Build Strong Client Relationships: Establish and maintain long-term partnerships with key accounts by understanding their needs and delivering exceptional service.
• Promote the Brand: Act as a brand ambassador, effectively communicating our story, mission, and commitment to sustainability. Conduct tastings, events, and educational
sessions to engage clients and drive sales.
• Achieve Sales Goals: Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by consistently closing new business and expanding existing accounts.
• Territory Management: Plan and execute a territory strategy, including regular travel to accounts, attending industry events, and staying informed about market trends.
• Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing and operations, to ensure alignment on sales initiatives and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor Market Trends: Stay informed about competitor activities, market developments, and emerging opportunities to refine sales strategies.
Qualifications:
• At least 5 years sales experience for Manger and 2 years for representative role in the wine industry.
• Passion for wine and a strong understanding of winemaking, wine varietals, and wine industry trends.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present confidently and persuasively.
• Must be able to handle 40-pound cases and other point-of-sale materials and displays with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Self-motivated, Goal Oriented and highly organized, with excellent time management and the ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
• Experience with CRM tools and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• A valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• At least 21-years-old
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification in wine education (e.g., WSET, Sommelier Certification) is a plus.
• Established relationships with distributors, restaurants, and retailers in the territory.
• Experience working with sustainable or premium wine brands.
