The Market Manager is responsible for maximizing sales by meeting or exceeding assigned goals and staying within budgeted expenses. This position must uphold the integrity of the company by following its guidelines and meeting its expectations and mission. The Market Manager will access company resources and apply them to achieving company goals measured by sales, points of distribution, and contribution achievements throughout Tennessee and Alabama. The ideal candidate will need to reside in Nashville, TN.
What we will ask you to do:
• Achieve budgeted sales goals and Key Performance Indicators for the state
• Communicate and recap monthly depletion targets/programming calendars with wholesalers
• Work with Regional Sales Manager to forecast Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly Depletions.
• Build a mutually beneficial relationship with the distributor partner on all levels.
• Collaborate with distributor to increase market share by acquiring new accounts, growing sales in existing accounts, and developing key account relationships.
• Be alert to distributor trends in the market
• Become an active member of the wine community through frequent and positive interaction with the rest of the industry and key wholesaler personnel
• Work with the Regional Sales Manager to develop and implement specific pricing and programming strategies
What you will need:
• BA or BS in Business or related field
• Minimum 4 years of sales experience in wine industry at distributor and/or supplier level
• Luxury/fine wine experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Good computer and math skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Diver & Dynamics 365 knowledge desirable
