* This is a National Occupational Classification (CNP): 9213 position - Supervisors, food, beverage and associated products processing.
Under the immediate supervision of our director, your work tasks mainly revolve around the operation of an automated mobile bottling line housed in a low deck trailer, in accordance with internal hygiene and quality standards while reaching daily productivity quotas.
You play a key role in quality level consistency of our bottling services and successful functioning of our equipment.
As Lead Bottling Technician your mission consists in:
- Training, supervising and ensuring the safety of your Assistant Technician. You are also responsible of monitoring his quality of work. You regularly report back to our director about your team and your equipment’s performance
- You ensure and overlook bottling equipment set up, start up, operations and adjustments
- You diligently ensure cleanliness and safety around equipment and workspaces. You actively participate in cleaning and disinfection of equipment and workspaces in compliance with procedures in place
-You demonstrate daily care in your work
- You monitor the supply and compliance of bottling consumables provided by our clients
- You ensure execution of daily production reports. You perform and log bottling line quality control points in accordance with procedures in place. You concisely and consistently communicate production delays, mechanical issues, equipment breakdowns and any other production challenges in your daily reports
- As the primary on-site contact with the client, you interact in a courteous and professional manner and adapt to different mandates
- You actively participate in bottling plant maintenance. You ensure execution of all steps of preventative maintenance including diagnostic and reporting of technical malfunctions and breakdowns
- You ensure/supervise all other task related to operations of the mobile bottling plant
Profile and Skills
-Previous experience as Lead Beverage Bottling Line Technician and/or relevant experience in automated production line management (2+ years)
- Capacity and willingness to work in a team and to train/manage your Assistant Technician. Relational ease; ability to communicate in a concise, courteous manner with the work team and clients
- A good sense of autonomy, thoroughness and resourcefulness
- Available to travel within Canada for work
- Hold a valid heavy vehicle driver’s licence or willingness to obtain this qualification. Holding a valid driver’s licence equivalent to a Class 5 Quebec licence is a prerequisite. (Class C).
- Fluency in English.
- Post-secondary education or relevant professional experience
- Interest and notions in automation and mechanics
- Good physical health; ability to stand for long periods of time and ability to safely lift and carry objects of up to 55lbspostin weight
- Ability and willingness to take on challenges, to take responsibility; A good sense of proactivity
- Capacity to prioritize and to perform in various situations and environments while remaining professional with colleagues and clients, even when working under pressure
Non mandatory but an asset:
Work experience in alcoholic beverage production, experience in industrial food and beverage equipment sterilization, basic to intermediate notions of French or willingness to obtain this qualification
