Dineen Vineyards is a family-owned & operated estate vineyard and winery located in Rattlesnake Hills sub-AVA of the Yakima Valley AVA just north of the town of Zillah, Washington. Our vineyards are planted in a unique hill-top area that is especially well-suited for growing premium wine grapes. Our vineyards were established over 20 years ago and today there are 76 acres under vine featuring 12 varietals, primarily those from the Bordeaux and Rhône Valley. Our wines are first and foremost a reflection of the quality of our vineyard site.
Our commitment to excellence is a top priority and we are seeking a passionate and highly motivated individual who can lead our wine program as we constantly continue to improve quality, grow our brand awareness and production. We are looking for a full-time and “hands on” winemaker who will be an integral part of the day-to-day operations spanning viticulture, production, marketing and sales.
Responsibilities include:
• Leadership and coordination of all aspects of wine production, including planning and hands on execution of winemaking from picking decisions through to bottling.
• . Management of bulk wine inventory and barrel program; including racking, topping and additions as well as barrel program management and sanitation
• . Manage logistics for wine packaging and storage
• . Oversee blending of wines to ensure a consistent “house style”, including coordination of benchmarks, barrel tasting and blending trials with key stakeholders
• . Supporting the sales & marketing efforts in the preparation of sales collateral, interacting with the press, attending & participating in customer events, etc.
Desired General Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in all facets of winemaking from crush to bottle, including lab analysis, record keeping, and knowledge of all production equipment including bottling
• Direct knowledge and meaningful experience in premium winemaking techniques; experience in Washington preferred
• Possess a well-developed palate.

This is a full-time position with extended hours during harvest months. The role reports directly to the owner, with compensation commensurate with experience and background.
