ROAR is a family-run, small production winery based in the Monterey County since 2001. Our winery is located in Castroville, where we produce Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and limited Rhone varietal wines. Job Description:
The primary function of this position will be DTC sales, including mailing list management, customer relations and outreach, release setup and execution, product inventory and logistics. The job involves business development and strategy, along with analysis and support to the director. The position will analyze and plan for our wholesale sales strategy across 25 distributing partners in the United States and International territories. During limited times of the year, the position will administer tasting visits for clients and provide wine production assistance, such as harvest and bottling. This is a cross-functional role which will provide a wide exposure across our business and production, but keep in mind that the primary objective of this role is with sales management.

Candidate must be able to commute to our winery in Castroville.
Core Responsibilities:
- Cultivate customer relationships by phone, email, and in-person
- DTC management: release setup and execution, order entry, shipping logistics
- Wholesale management: depletion analysis, allocation planning, shipping logistics
- Develop sales opportunities and marketing
- Hospitality support: client visits, event tastings, general cleanup
- Data analysis and reports, along with data entry and clean up
- Develop ideas and strategies to improve upon existing framework
- Winery Ops: harvest help and bottling planning
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in wine-related profession or sales
- Enthusiasm for wine with basic understanding of wine production and history
- Professional and positive demeanor
- Exceptional hospitality and communication skills to speak with confidence to clientele
- Strong organizational skills with proficiency in understanding and executing instructions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and team-oriented
- Focused on ethics and doing things the right way
- Computer proficiency (POS systems, Microsoft Excel) and able to learn new computer programs
- Flexible schedule based on business needs, including some weekends
- Ability to lift 50 pounds of weight (such as a case of wine)
- Minimum of three work references

Employment Status: Full-time employment
Days & Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm, although flexible
Location: Castroville, CA
Salary: $70K - $90K
