Job Description:

Neely Wine is conveniently situated in the Santa Cruz Mountains, seven minutes from Highway 280 but with a feeling a world away. We produce Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Grüner Veltliner, and Cabernet from a 16-acre estate vineyard and seek an individual to join our Harvest Team for the 2024 vintage, from mid-August to November.

Interns will participate in all aspects of harvest work—vineyard and winemaking—including but not limited to sampling for picking decisions, harvesting, processing fruit, pressing and barrel work, ferment management through punchdowns, additions and inoculations, tank and barrel work, and other vineyard tasks. There will be no shortage of cleaning. We expect our interns to be motivated, efficient, and operate with safety in mind at all times. We are looking for applicants who bring a positive attitude and team-oriented spirit to the job. We also expect our interns to appreciate that this is a physical job in an often demanding work environment.

Interns enjoy direct access to the winemaking and vineyard team on a daily basis. Cellar experience is always appreciated but not required and is no substitute for a commitment to working hard, learning about wine, and contributing quality work to the team effort.
