JOB SUMMARY
With a strong focus on providing outstanding customer service, the Glasswasher position will ensure tasting room glassware is clean, polished, and ready for use in service of guests. Key responsibilities include ensuring all glassware and back of house needs are in place for the Tasting Room and Events team. Additionally, this role is required to support with service area setup and breakdown when needed. This individual must work independently with minimal direct supervision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Working overtime, when requested by your supervisor, is a condition of your employment.
•  Communicates with Tasting Room staff in person and via a two-way radio
•  Provides guests with water and crisps
•  Busses and sanitizes tables and service areas after guests’ departure
•  Assists with movement and restocking of disinfectant sprays, rags, bags, boxes, apparel, books, dry goods
•  Communicates inventory needs and par standards for glasses, water pitchers, dry goods
•  Maintains a clean working environment
•  Completes side work such as polishing spittoons
•  Washes and polishes glassware
•  Lifts, pulls, and places glass racks
•  Maintains a weekly log of broken glassware
•  Recycles disposal and waste according to current Company practices
•  Performs other cleaning duties such as dusting, wiping areas, or sweeping during slow times
•  Assists Tasting Room and Events Support staff with movement of wine between wine storage rooms
•  Assists Estate Hosts in the setup and breakdown of group tastings, such as glassware and utensils
•  Cleaning and moving of Terrace furniture when needed
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•  Experience: Hospitality service experience preferably for a large restaurant, winery or hotel
•  Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner at all times. The employee is required to frequently walk, climb stairs, squat, bend, lift, twist, pull, push, carry, grasp, reach and stoop as needed, and to repeatedly lift and carry items up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to walk at least 40 yards over uneven ground between work locations. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment is primarily a retail one in which the employee will be interacting with the public. The noise level is usually quiet to moderate. Work requires working indoors in the tasting room and outdoors on the patio, or at outdoor events and may be subjected to inclement weather such as rain or wind. Weekend, holiday and/or evening work is required.
