The Manager, Bulk Wine and Regulatory Compliance is an integral member of the legal team. This role leads the management, tracking and federal reporting of bulk wine and cased goods at Duckhorn and assists and supports senior Legal and Finance personnel with compliance and excise tax processes and practices. They report to the Director, Regulatory Compliance and provide sound counsel to senior Duckhorn personnel in other departments with respect to bulk wine and cased-good treatment, management, tracking and reporting. They demonstrate integrity above reproach, with the ability to think creatively, strategically, and critically to present and implement optimal solutions.

What we will ask you to do:
•  Manage timely approval of all bottling approval requests from the brand winemaking team. Use Bottling Production Orders file to monitor, follow-up, and complete requests.
•  Reconcile monthly production reporting for Napa County based wineries to ensure adherence with production limits.
•  Manage annual inventory communication, documentation, and reporting.
•  Ensure each site’s 702s balances with the Navision (NAV) Container Inventory report.
•  Act as first point of Regulatory contact on label compliance.
•  Provide general production support to winemaking/production team; provide guidance to on-site wine trackers throughout all production facilities (including in-person sessions, as deemed appropriate).
•  Prepare and conduct pre-harvest training program to educate the broad production team as well as Weigh Tag training pre-harvest.
•  Utilize industry specific tools and available databases to perform research: i.e., FIVS, TTB.gov, etc. Maintain detailed knowledge of compliance issues and remain current on trends and developments in the wine and alcoholic beverage regulation field.

What you will need:
•  5 to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the areas described above preferred.
•  Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects and lead direct reports.
•  Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
•  Excellent written and oral communication skills; attention to detail and responsiveness.
•  Computer knowledge: NAV, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint, AgCode, FIVS.
