Job Description:

Alain Junguenet Selection is currently seeking an experienced Wine Sales professional to step into a full-time on and independent off-premises position with an established route in New Jersey. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling our diverse portfolio of fine French wines and developing meaningful relationships with your accounts. The position requires mastering the wines in our portfolio, working in concert with our team, and growing sales day by day. We are seeking a self-motivated, outgoing, and results-oriented person, and are offering training, ongoing support and highly competitive compensation.
Alain Junguenet Selection is a national importer and distributor of fine wines from France with 40 years of experience. Founded by Alain Junguenet and now run by his son John, our headquarters are in Westfield, New Jersey. Our network of National distributors spans from coast to coast and our direct distribution (wholesale) activity covers New York, New Jersey, and Maryland. The approach remains the same as it was in 1984...import and distribute family-owned and operated wineries producing well-priced, terroir-driven wines from across France and provide great, friendly service to all our customers with a sales team of professional and knowledgeable people who love ‘le monde du vin’ as much as Alain did.

Experience and Qualifications:
•  Prior sales experience working in wholesale distribution is strongly preferred
•  High level of French wine knowledge
•  Understanding of the New Jersey marketplace and relevant competition
•  Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•  Ability to self-start and work independently
•  Detail-oriented and solution-focused
•  Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks efficiently and effectively
•  Computer proficiency is necessary, utilizing all tools within Microsoft Office
•  Must have a current driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•  Manage and develop geographical territory in New Jersey
•  Cultivate relationships with customers via face-to-face visits, tastings, phone calls & email correspondence
•  Develop a deep understanding of the portfolio and how to present its competitive advantages
•  Practice strong selling skills based on identifying opportunities at accounts, presenting the most appropriate wines from the portfolio, and asking for the sale
•  Schedule and participate in market work assignments with management and visiting winemakers.
•  Participate in monthly sales meetings and tastings at the office in Westfield, NJ
•  Learn and utilize internal operating systems to effectively manage your business and communicate with the team.
•  Assist in organizing and participating in trade shows and consumer events.
•  Create & execute Route Plans to increase sales and accounts every month, and report results weekly
