Cowhorn Vineyard & Garden is searching for an Assistant Winemaker to join our small talented team.

Located in the Applegate Valley AVA, within Southern Oregon’s Rogue Valley AVA, Cowhorn Vineyard & Garden is a small, family-owned winery that grows grape varietals that are historically associated with the Rhône River wine region of France: Syrah and Grenache for red wine, and Viognier, Marsanne, and Roussanne for white wine. All of Cowhorn Vineyard & Garden's wines are made from 100% estate-grown fruit from 25 planted acres.

Cowhorn Vineyard & Garden has been at the forefront of Biodynamic viticulture in Oregon and has been practicing Organic and Biodynamic farming and low input winemaking since its inception. With planting beginning in 2005, Cowhorn Vineyard & Garden is recognized as a leader in the region, having received more than 100 90+ scores over the years.

Cowhorn Vineyard & Garden is committed to crafting wines at the highest level possible, with thoughtful and careful consideration to every element of the process. The right candidate for this position is very passionate about wine and wine making, endeavors to continuously learn and make improvements, is interested in the details, and has a desire to make contributions towards the evolution of the wines.

The role of Assistant Winemaker will include all aspects of wine production common to small ultra-premium wineries, assisting in the operational execution of all physical winery tasks, and contributing to various vineyard operations. The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of winemaking processes and at least a few years of experience in the cellar, with proven proficiency out on the floor and in the lab.
