Summary:
Domaine Divio is a boutique winery in Newberg focusing on high-end, Burgundian-style Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines from our Estate and the surrounding Willamette Valley. We are looking for a full-time Hospitality Associate to contribute to the success of the tasting room and brand. This job requires working on weekends, as well as occasional evening shifts and high-traffic holidays. We are looking for an applicant who is charismatic, charming and comfortable on the floor, identifies as a wine professional, and is committed to working in the wine industry. A successful Hospitality Associate will possess drive, focus, and have the ability to manage time effectively while multitasking. Ideally, the Hospitality Associate will have the capacity to move into administrative or management rolls in time with proven results. At Domaine Divio, we have a tight-knit team of hospitality professionals who genuinely love providing world-class experiences to our guests, thus effectively selling wine by conveying the story of Domaine Divio in a compelling way. We are looking for a Hospitality Associate who is eager to jump right in and begin working for this exciting, high-growth brand.

Hospitality Associate Expectations:
- Greet all guests with enthusiasm and deliver consistent, gracious hospitality
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive and memorable experience for our guests
- Lead guests through their chosen wine experience, being aware of the guests' needs and silent selling queues that present themselves
- Convey the brand message while focusing on wine education with the ability to up-sell
- Have the knowledge and ability to promote our wine club membership while building rapport with guests
- Effectively collect guest data such as emails and referral sources


Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle sales transactions, including operating POS system and processing of shipping orders
- Host an engaging table-side tasting experience for all winery guests and wine club members
- Accurately describe our wines, winemaking techniques, appellations, and the unique aspects of our wines
- Educate customers on the Willamette Valley and Domaine Divio history
- Participate in company-sponsored wine education and developmental opportunities
- Effectively promote the Wine Club and build relationships with guests that result in new wine club membership sign-ups
- Set up and help with private tasting events as they occur
- Perform opening and closing duties (stock wine, clean glassware, prepare sales material, etc.)
- Food preparation of cheese and charcuterie based on the needs of the day
- Connect with other industry professionals to build strong referral partnerships


Requirements:
- Enthusiasm and passion for all things wine
- Exceptional hospitality skills
- Have excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc.)
- Strong verbal communication for use during phone call campaigns
- Must be able to work efficiently both independently and in a team setting with a courteous and respectful manner
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
- Punctuality
- Must have an OLCC permit and Food Handler’s permit by first day of work
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work weekends, special events, and holidays
- Ability to speak in front of large crowds and manage multiple groups at once
- CMS/WSET credentials preferred, but not required
- Background in hospitality, food service, or customer service preferred, but not required
- Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs. and to stand for long periods of time
- Must be at least 21 years of age

Tentative Schedule: Thursday through Sunday
Associate will be included in the team tip pool and able to earn commission on wine club sign-ups
