Job Description: Part-Time, Seasonal Host/Educator – Trenton Roadhouse

Department: Trenton Roadhouse Hospitality

Reports to: Director of Guest Experience

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Obtain and maintain the California Alcohol Server certificate.
•  Responsible daily for hosting guests on property and representing Kistler and all brand standards
•  A strong sense of hospitality, regularly going above and beyond to make a guests' experience memorable.
•  Ability to effortlessly communicate and meaningfully connect with customers from a wide range of backgrounds. In other words, you are not easily intimidated and know
when to talk and to listen
•  Broad wine knowledge of both Sonoma and Napa, as well as wine regions of the world
•  Ability to talk about wine across a broad range of knowledge sets ranging from first timers to big-time wine buyers with extensive collections.
•  Comfortable 'going with the flow' and adapting, sometimes on a moment's notice.
•  Confident in hosting large groups and assisting with events
•  Comfortable with public speaking and holding a larger group's attention for long periods of time.
•  Work with colleagues to innovate and evolve TRH's tasting experiences
•  Work with colleagues to promote visitation consistent with Kistler brand standards
•  Learning the custom Kistler CRM including entering in orders, new customers, and other date.
•  Responding and emailing customers and guests with eye for detail.
•  Assist in booking reservations via phone, website by using Tock.
•  Effectively manage guest's special requests and needs as they relate to repeat business and revenue creation
•  Review guest feedback with the leadership team and verifies that appropriate corrective action is taken
•  Promotes mailing/allocation list sign-ups in a gracious manner
•  Ensures Kistler brand standards and guest experience is always maintained
•  Responsible for communicating any opportunities, issues, or concerns to leadership team members
•  Assist with cleaning outdoors spaces and guest experience areas and keeping property standards on a daily basis
•  Maintains in-depth knowledge about our wines, our winemaking techniques, the vineyards, the brand, our history, and the winery itself. Communicates these with clarity and
passion
•  Responsible for completing other duties as assigned by management

DAILY HOSPITALITY MAINTENANCE:

•  Obtain and maintain a California Food Handlers Card
•  Wash and buff glassware
•  Rinse, Wash, and sanitize dishes
•  Empty garbage, compost, and recycling
•  Wipe down surfaces indoors and out
•  Set and Reset tables
•  Understanding the ‘Gate to Gate’ property operations
•  Stocking all supplies

REQUIRED SKILLS:

•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and team members
•  Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize within a dynamic environment
•  Ability to work independently, collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization
•  Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
•  Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as it relates to the needs of the job

QUALIFICATIONS:

•  2+ years of service industry,
•  Wine and food knowledge preferred
•  Come to work every day wanting to do your best
•  Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work in an evolving environment with enthusiasm
•  Passion for customer service and satisfaction
•  Must be able to weekends, holidays, and nights (events) as needed

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

•  This position is predominately performed standing up
•  Must be able to stand and walk as required by job duties
•  Must be able to manipulate a computer keyboard that can involve repetitive motion
•  Must be able to use office machinery such as a copy machine, printer and computer
•  Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds (wine case)
•  Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
•  Must be able to walk on sometimes steep driveways and uneven gravel surfaces
•  Must be able to roll large garbage bins for street pickup.
•  Able/comfortable spending extended periods outdoors
