Rack & Riddle Custom Wine Services, the #1 custom sparkling wine producer in the United States, is seeking a Senior Planner to add to our team.

The Senior Planner will manage and oversee demand, capacity and long range planning for all Rack & Riddle locations. Their focus will be the continual improvement of planning processes. This includes the effective and efficient Use of the ERP – (NetSuite) system and as well as the development of independent systems to support planning processes available in Net Suite. They will support information flow at all levels of a complex supply chain, drive the objective of maximizing production efficiency and capacity while meeting customer demand. Rack & Riddle provides custom wine process over several sites with multiple lines including sparkling operations as well as still wine. Candidate needs the flexibility to work in a growing company that services many clients’ needs. They need to be a team player that will work with all areas of the operation to ensure the highest quality standards for our clients. This role works closely with Business Development, Finance, Winemaking, and the Supply Chain team.

Essential Responsibilities

•  Oversees the Production Planning at all Rack & Riddle facilities.
•  Supports the implementation of ERP systems with a focus on MRP, demand and long range planning.
•  Develop and improve the processes and systems for resource management, demand analysis, capacity planning as well as medium- and long-term planning. (The goal is to develop efficient and effective tools that meets the customer’s requirements while maximizing efficiencies of our production lines).
•  Ability to develop reports for analysis, utilizing Excel, Access or other systems, which support the complexities of the Rack & Riddle supply chain not currently supported through Net Suite.
•  Assist in integrity and maintenance of the Item Master.
•  Develop and maintain the framework for a demand planning structure that will support S&OP monthly meetings.
•  Manage a cross functional team (sales, winemaking, production, supply chain) to review demand planning and general planning tools to support the business and S&OP needs.
•  Partner with sales, supply chain and operations to provide a robust demand forecast (3 - 12 months) and commentary monthly.
•  Partner with Business Relations to provide a robust demand forecast (6 -18 months) for long term sourcing and planning of production needs.
•  Develop and maintain KPI measures for all areas of the supply chain.
•  Develop or validate long range bottling plans for each location.
•  Develop capacity plans for each location based on historical analysis of operational throughput.
•  Develop standards for routing and OEE.
•  Analyze sales orders, historical trends, and client contracts to make recommendations and challenge the sales forecasts.
•  Validate and reconcile information transfers between systems to provide consistent and reliable data.
•  Work with required stakeholders (supply chain, sales, winemaking, finance) to establish a robust process of developing and utilizing forecasting tools.
•  Assist with monthly forecast reviews with leadership team to sign off on revised forecasts.
•  Run monthly S&OP account reviews with business development team and pro-actively communicate any changes to ensure a 'no surprises' forecasting culture.
•  Prepare monthly demand planning accuracy reports and engage with stakeholders to understand drivers and actions required.
•  Liaise with Supply Chain on a regular basis to understand 3–12-month supply position, constraints, and any factors with potential impacts on service and forecast delivery.
•  Provide volume projections to the annual planning process, based on detailed evaluation of sales projections, market trends and historical analysis.
•  Plays an instrumental role in the development of a company culture that is conducive to continuous improvement, maximizing productivity and efficiency, ensuring best possible quality, and promoting open communication and teamwork.
•  Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The successful candidate’s background includes:
•  Minimum of 5 years’ experience in master planning in the wine industry.
•  In-depth knowledge of ERP Systems, Master Production Scheduling, Production Planning, Demand Planning and Capacity Planning.
•  Experience planning and scheduling in a dynamic environment utilizing manual planning tools (Excel or Access)
•  Experience implementing an ERP system.
•  Experience working collaboratively with all levels and functions within a company and multiple internal and external customers.
•  Experience managing multiple locations and individuals.
•  Skill in resolving unusual or difficult inquiries/situations through direct personal action or delegation.
