POSITION OVERVIEW
This position reports to the VP of Sales and is responsible for visiting retail accounts independently and working with local distributor sales reps to achieve sales and merchandising objectives. The position requires a self-motivated, organized, energetic, and creative person with beverage merchandising and wine sales experience. Existing relationships in market preferred.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Open new general market retail accounts in the Southern California region.
• Sell Juliet to retailers gaining points of distribution in coordination with local distributors sales teams.
• Call on key accounts on an ongoing basis to ensure sales targets are being met.
• Ensure that Juliet is merchandised & represented properly (price, shelf position & POS execution) according to our brand standards.
• Maintain clear and consistent dialogue with the VP of Sales and distributor teams to ensure the Juliet portfolio is always a priority.
• Provide regular feedback to management regarding market trends, competitor activity and customer preferences
• Knowledge of retail chain business a plus
• Represent Juliet at retail tastings and events.
REQUIRED SKILL SETS:
• Wine sales experience
• Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Beverage sales or merchandising experience
• Effective selling and presentation skills are a must.
• Innovative and creative in approaching accounts and expanding business.
• Motivated self-starter that requires minimal oversight and guidance
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Professional demeanor in working with coworkers, distributors, retail reps and consumers
• Must have valid driver's license and own vehicle
• Some nights and weekends required
• Travel, as needed
• Ability to lift 25+lbs
