SUMMARY: The candidate will work directly with the Managing Director and oversee day-to-day floor operations in the tasting room, including the tasting room hospitality staff. The ideal candidate will motivate and inspire our team to provide visitors and members an unforgettable experience.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Oversee the day-to-day operations of our Tasting Room, which includes tastings, visitor relations, tours, staff performance, and wine club sales
*Ensures and provides flawless, upscale, professional, and high-class guest service experiences
*Develop creative programs to achieve tasting room and wine club goals
*Develop innovative ways to drive sales and customer satisfaction
*Maintain up-to-date Tasting Room menus, signage, and promotional material
*Work with hospitality and industry peers to create successful referral programs
*Account for daily sales and sales reporting
*Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising Tasting Room staff
*Inventory management of wine, retail merchandise, and tasting room supplies
*Partner with wine educators, winemakers, and production staff to ensure the Tasting Room staff receives the appropriate level of sales, product and general wine education and training
*Schedule and plan monthly tasting room meetings
*Attend weekly managerial meetings



REQUIREMENTS:

*Two or more years prior management experience in the hospitality industry with a proven ability to be an effective, innovative and enthusiastic leader
*Exceptional customer service skills
*Outgoing, engaging, and friendly personality
*Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, including excellent telephone communication and sales
*Ability to multitask while handling tasting room needs and office administration
*Strong organization and time management skills with attention to detail
*Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Publisher.
*Ability to work weekends and some nights
*Ability to operate a computer POS system
*Must be 21 years of age

Preferred Qualifications:

*Bachelor’s degree in a related field
*Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

*Sit or stand for prolonged periods.
*Perform some repetitive motion activities.
*Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
*Lift, move, and stack boxes up to 40 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is normally performed in an office environment or within the tasting room.
