Kivelstadt Cellars is a progressive hospitality company looking for motivated, positive, and dedicated tasting room associates to work in our tasting lounge located in the Kivelstadt Winegarden - a beautiful ½ acre outdoor space that includes Bloom Carneros restaurant and a sprawling event space & live music venue.

We believe wine, like life, is meant to be enjoyed with friends and food. At Kivelstadt we make honest wine from organic vineyards throughout California. Focusing on our farming and minimalist winemaking, we craft wines that appeal to everyone, from casual to connoisseur. We craft 9,000 cases of wines ranging from Sparkling Rose to Carbonic Zinfandel, and Apple/Grape co-ferments, all the way to our estate Syrah & Pinot Noir.

As a Tasting Room Associate, your primary task is to ensure that guests receive impeccable customer service as they sample our wines and learn about our vineyards, history, and wine making practices. You must be passionate about wine and feel comfortable discussing wine with all types of customers no matter where they are on their wine journey. Developing long lasting relationships with guests through our membership programs is a key part of your role.

Basic Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized environment
- Be aware of reservations for the day and coordinate with host when changes occur
- Perform sales transactions and shipping orders
- Wash and polish glassware for the Tasting Lounge & Bloom Carneros Restaurant
- Stock wine, & Merchandise in the tasting lounge & Bloom Carneros Restaurant
- Clean and set tasting lounge to ensure an enjoyable guest experience.
- Contribute to and maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Advanced Responsibilities:
- Personally host guests of varied backgrounds and wine knowledge, in a variety of settings. Includes guided flights, side by side comparisons, and general lounge seating. Must be able to conduct authentic experiences that convey the core values of the Kivelstadt brand.
- Take initiative for self-development in the areas of our wines, our brand, general hospitality, and for acquiring effective sales techniques and acumen.
- Promote onsite and to go wine sales to expand our customer base. Wine sales are rewarded with competitive bonus compensation.
- Promote Kivelstadt Cellars & Community memberships in order to expand our customer base. Membership signups are rewarded with competitive bonus compensation.
- Collaborate with management to establish, monitor, and achieve tasting lounge goals / metrics by developing innovative ways to drive sales, membership sign ups, and overall customer satisfaction.
- Participate and assist with special hospitality events that occur as a part of the Kivelstadt Winegarden. These events include private functions, live music concerts, guest winemaker spotlights, and more.

Requirements:
- At least 21 years of age
- Sales experience is a plus.
- Professional personal presentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Organizational skills and the ability to execute instructions well.
- Able to act independently to solve problems as they occur.
- Able to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities
- Proficient with ipad based POS systems
- Must be able to work weekends as job requires
- Must be able to stand for multiple hours and routinely lift 40lbs.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Base Pay: $20+ per hour DOE

Schedule: Weekdays, Weekends, Some Holidays
Supplemental pay types: Bonus pay, Tips, Sales Commission

Location: Sonoma, CA 95476 Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
