Vinify Wine Services is seeking several cellar workers for the upcoming harvest season. Vinify is a custom crush winery focused on small lot, premium winemaking. We are located in Santa Rosa, California. Our clients grow and source grapes from some of the best vineyards in Sonoma and Napa Valley. At Vinify we make wine in small lots and with great attention to detail. This position is hands-on and physically demanding. Vinify provides an exciting opportunity to work with many different grape varieties and a variety of winemakers and their different styles, all in a single harvest. Our harvest lasts longer than some of our neighboring wineries who specialize in just one or two varieties of grapes. You will have the opportunity to work and experience more over the course of a single harvest season... and quickly grow your network of colleagues and friends in the industry!

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Harvest duties may include: cleaning and sanitation, punch downs, pump overs, crush equipment operation, fermentation monitoring and management, forklift operation, press operation, barrel work and wine and juice transfers. It is important that you are able to follow written and verbal instructions, embrace repetitive tasks, be proactive, and excel in a fast-paced work environment. We hire harvest workers who have worked multiple vintages all over the world and first-timers who want to see what winemaking is all about. There is a day shift and an evening shift. At this time we are looking for both experienced and inexperienced people to fill various roles in the winery. This is hands-on physical work and you must be able to work long hours on your feet, be able to climb stairs and ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.

DURATION AND APPLICATION PROCESS
Most positions will start mid-August and last until mid-November... however we can discuss a different start or end date that might work better for you. Pay is hourly and competitive. Overtime is to be expected. If you are applying from outside the U.S. indicate how you intend to secure a J-1 work visa.
