Division Manager, Southwest Central

Description
The Division Manager is responsible for the communication and execution of our entire portfolio to key National and Regional Chains based in the Southwest United States. The Division Manager will ensure we are achieving our fair share of business, growth, and awareness in these states through regular interaction, account calls, training, and education.

The primary focus of the Division Manager Southwest is achieving company profit, distribution, and volume goals by working directly with the key accounts throughout the division as well as working with key Distributor personnel. The Division Manager is expected to travel extensively to oversee and manage accounts and distributors in the territory. This Division Manager is responsible for all key relationships at the distributor level in all states within the market. The Division Manager will be responsible for the following six states: AZ, NV, NM, CO, UT, WY. 

Core Responsibilities

Implement sales performance measures and targets using DAOU’s brand priorities with key accounts while assisting in achieving expected division results. Manage SKU priorities by varietal and price segments and review execution against these standards within each market. New brand introductions as well as SKU rationalization on an annual basis is critical.
Work under the direction of the Senior Director Sales, Central Region to develop action plans for business opportunities through the use of strategic insights.
Program execution through all key phases: planning-communication-execution-evaluation.
Maintain 100% shelf distribution for all items authorized for each chain.
Optimize shelf and cold box placement.
Maintain current price information.
Call directly on key accounts in all markets to help achieve annual goals.
Conduct market work with direct reports as needed.
Recap of successes, opportunities and market intelligence with a follow-up process should be developed to ensure commitments are finalized.
Participate in trade events, crew drives, and blitzes in key accounts.
Adequately plan POS and funds for approved chain programs.
Conduct post-promotional analysis in conjunction with SVP National Sales Manager (as applicable).
Conduct meetings to present annual goals, manage those goals monthly.
Manage depletions through specific channels of trade including On-premise accounts, Chains, independent retailers.
Responsible for achieving annual case goals and profit objectives; and pricing and programming within budget in all states.
Managing all financial responsibility for the region including sales budget, DA spending, promotional, incentive budgets along with a full T & E budget.
Management of distributors including regional budgets, inventory, goals and allocations.
Develop distributor sales incentive programs, negotiate pricing/programming, educate and train sales personnel.
Key Account rapport and selling.
Work each market throughout the region with distributor personnel as well as independently.
Develop and maintain a target account list for both On and Off premise accounts.
Conduct wine dinners, retail tastings, trade shows, and distributor meetings / education when necessary.
Develop relationships with all chain buyers located within the region.
Present our wines at sales meetings, tastings, wine dinners, etc.
Requirements
Must be at least 21 years old.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
Effective and concise oral and written communication skills.
Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Power Point and Office Outlook.
Must be able to multi-task.
Must be organized and exude attention to detail.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and work as a team player.
Wine/Spirit experience preferred.
Success Factors & Preferred Skills

Currently resides or will reside in the Denver Metro area.
Ability to manage and elevate a team.
Communicate effectively with winery management team.
Problem solve while managing changing priorities and complex issues.
Bring a positive attitude whether working individually or in a team setting.
Ability to work under a changing and dynamic schedule, including weekends, nights and during peak season demand.
Willingness to assist with other duties as assigned and contribute innovative ideas.
Working Conditions

Regular working schedule to include weekdays, weekends, some holidays and evenings.
Long and irregular hours during peak seasons and special events.
Requires regular travel.
Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
Sitting for extended periods of time (8 hours per day).

Compensation range for this role is $125,000-145,000/year.
