Position/Title: Business Development Manager

Salary: $85,000 to $110,000 annually with a bonus potential

Position Summary:
Dynamic and growing winery and beverage company located in Napa seeks an experienced and energetic Business Development Manager. The successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Extensive experience generating new business is essential.
The Business Development Manager will be the point person for all new customer relationships. This is a great wine and beverage industry opportunity for a motivated individual who thrives on building partnerships and helping clients be successful while growing overall winery business.
Responsibilities
• Work with the COO to increase the wine and alternative beverage client base
• Lead business development by locating and onboarding new clients
• Field all incoming business inquiries, prepare service estimates, and draft service agreements
• Collaborate with the COO and the production team to identify how the business can meet the needs of new clients
• Harvest business deals by contacting potential partners from your relationships, self-generated leads, leads that come through company’s website, and social media platforms
• Create and communicate pricing information for clients
• Prepare and utilize spreadsheets to elucidate client pricing structures and business margins
• Identify industry trends and follow industry and vendor publications and announcements
• Collaborate with third party partners/vendors to facilitate business development
• Maintain confidentiality for all clients
• Maintain and improve all client forward documents (price lists, service agreements, pricing templates, etc.)
• Continue to improve the business’ reputation by pursuing and delivering innovative client projects
• Coordinate all marketing including editorials, advertisements, industry associations, events, and charitable outreach opportunities
• Other projects as assigned
Qualifications
• College degree required
• Minimum of 5 years (over 7 years preferred) of experience in business development in the wine, alcoholic beverage, or ancillary industries
• Demonstrated ability to generate new business
• Knowledge of wine and beverage production preferred
• Organized with an attention to detail
• Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
• Analytical and quantitative skills beneficial for project planning and pricing
• Proficient with Microsoft office – competence in excel is especially helpful
• Sales acumen and appreciation for stellar customer service
• Emotional intelligence
