Brought from Burgundy in the late 1800s, the Mt. Eden clone yields deeply-colored, structured, and age-worthy wines with concentrated dark cherry, raspberry, earth, spice, and fine tannins. These vines are 8 years old and planted at about 500 feet on the western slope of Bald Peak in volcanic soil (Saum).
