These grapes are from a small Family owned vineyard, located in a private valley, near Hopland Ca. The vineyard is planted with 26% Clone 28,(Italian cone R3) used in the finer Sauvignon Blancs of northeaster Italy. Clone R-3, imported from the Italian Rauscedo nursery, is extremely pungent, with distinct mineral intensity. The remaining block is the very popular French clone: 1.1.
