About Ridgecrest Wines
Ridgecrest Wines is a small, family-owned winery with roots that run deeper than almost anyone in Oregon wine country. Founded by Harry Peterson-Nedry — who planted the first vines on what would become the Ribbon Ridge AVA in 1982 — and now led alongside his daughter Wynne, a second-generation winemaker, Ridgecrest is a true expression of place, family, and five decades of passion.
Our estate-grown lineup spans Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Grüner Veltliner, Chenin Blanc, and Gamay Noir — all reflective of the Willamette Valley’s reputation as one of the world’s truly special wine regions. Our tasting room is intimate and personal: a cozy converted home beside the vines, where every guest gets the real story behind every bottle.

Position Overview
We’re looking for a knowledgeable, warm, and wine-passionate Tasting Room Lead to join our team part-time, year-round. You’ll be the face of Ridgecrest — welcoming guests, guiding tastings, and sharing the history and heart behind our estate wines. If you love connecting people to great wine and great stories, this role is for you. And our small team is always looking for growth, so this can become a full-time, year-round position for the right candidate that is willing and eager to learn and take on more responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
•  Welcome guests and lead engaging, educational wine tastings across our estate portfolio
•  Share the Ridgecrest story — our history on Ribbon Ridge, our winemaking philosophy, and the people behind the wines
•  Drive wine sales and wine club memberships with genuine enthusiasm
•  Accurately process transactions using our point-of-sale system
•  Keep the tasting room beautifully presented and welcoming at all times
•  Assist with vineyard tours, private tastings, and special events as needed
•  Follow all Oregon OLCC regulations and responsible service guidelines

Requirements
•  Must be 21 years of age or older
•  Minimum 1 year of prior tasting room or hospitality experience preferred
•  Solid wine knowledge required; WSET, CMS, or equivalent certification strongly preferred
•  A genuine love of wine and enthusiasm for sharing it with others
•  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•  Available to work weekends, holidays, and special events
•  Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
