Job Description:

Duties & Responsibilities


1. Daily

a. Banking

b. AR collections

c. AP Review before posting

d. Inventory Transactions Review before posting

e. Ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded, classified, summarized, and supported.

f. Maintain the chart of accounts to support the organizational direction and needs.

2. Weekly

a. Collaborates on all disbursements for check preparation and signature by ownership

b. Collateral reports for bank

3. Monthly

a. Winery invoicing

b. Formal Closing Process

c. Review general ledger activity for accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness, interpreting trends or deviations and making recommendations for corrective action.

d. Balance sheet review to identify issues and verify propriety of general ledger accounts.

4. Yearly

a. Assist in the preparation of the Budget.

b. Assist in the preparation of the Year End Close.

c. Assist in the preparation of tax returns (including R&D tax credit calculations)

5. Document processes and identify controls for recording revenue and expenses.

6. Identify accounting and financial opportunities by researching and interpreting data.

7. Complete special projects, analyze data, present recommended findings in a clear and concise manner to help drive the mission goals of the organization.

8. Identify inefficiencies where accounting can support the organization and assist to drive improvements and change.
