Job Description:

About Us
We are a small, quality-driven boutique winery based in Lodi, focused on expressive, vineyard-forward wines and genuine relationships with our customers and trade partners. We value hands-on involvement, clear storytelling, and steady, sustainable growth. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and making a real impact in a small winery setting.
Position Overview
The Sales & Marketing Manager leads sales growth and brand visibility across wholesale, direct-to-consumer, and on-site channels. This role blends strategy with execution and works closely with ownership to shape how the winery shows up in the market. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and comfortable being both customer-facing and behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities
Sales
•  Develop, manage, and grow wholesale accounts (restaurants, wine shops, and distributors as applicable)
•  Maintain and expand direct-to-consumer sales, including wine club, mailing list, and online channels
•  Conduct tastings, account visits, and market work locally and regionally
•  Collaborate on pricing, allocations, and sales goals
•  Represent the winery at trade tastings, festivals, and industry events
Marketing
•  Create and execute annual sales and marketing plans
•  Manage brand messaging across digital platforms, including website, email, and social media
•  Oversee wine club communications, releases, and member engagement
•  Coordinate promotions, seasonal campaigns, and special offers
•  Collaborate on sales materials, brand storytelling, and point-of-sale assets
On-Site & Events
•  Support tasting room strategy and guest experience as needed
•  Plan and execute winery events, releases, and special tastings
•  Train tasting room staff on wines, sales priorities, and brand story
Qualifications
•  3+ years of experience in wine sales, marketing, or hospitality
•  Solid understanding of both DTC and wholesale wine sales channels
•  Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills
•  Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently
•  Willingness to work some weekends, evenings, and events
•  Valid driver’s license; ability to lift wine cases as needed
Compensation & Benefits
•  Competitive compensation commensurate with experience, with potential performance-based incentives
•  Wine allocation and industry perks
•  Flexible, collaborative work environment with room to grow
Why This Role
This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in the growth of a small winery, work directly with ownership, and help shape both sales strategy and brand presence—without the layers and bureaucracy of a large wine company.
