Wine Country Tour Guide
Position Type: Part-Time / Full-Time
Work Model: In-Field (On-Tour) with Limited Administrative Support

Role Purpose
The Tour Guide is the face of our brand in the field—responsible for transforming a curated itinerary into a memorable, seamless, and deeply personal wine country experience. This role blends storytelling, logistics, hospitality, and intuition to deliver private, elevated tours that reflect the highest standards of Napa Valley luxury service.
The Tour Guide is entrusted with guest experience execution, relationship-building, and real-time decision-making while representing the brand with confidence, warmth, and polish.

Core Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Hospitality
• Serve as the primary host and ambassador for guests during tours
• Deliver warm, polished introductions and maintain a refined presence throughout the day
• Read the room and adapt pacing, tone, and energy to guest preferences
• Anticipate needs and provide thoughtful touches that elevate the experience
• Ensure guests feel cared for, relaxed, and confident at all times
Tour Execution & Logistics
• Execute daily itineraries with precision, flexibility, and discretion
• Coordinate timing with wineries, restaurants, and partners in real time
• Handle on-the-fly adjustments due to guest preferences, weather, or winery availability
• Maintain control of the flow of the day while making it feel unhurried and organic
Wine & Regional Storytelling
• Share knowledgeable, engaging insights about Napa Valley, its history, AVAs, and producers
• Tailor storytelling depth to guest interest—never scripted, never overwhelming
• Represent the brand as a trusted local authority, not a generic tour operator
Vehicle & Professional Presentation
• Operate tour vehicles safely, smoothly, and professionally
• Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready vehicle at all times
• Present a polished, brand-aligned appearance
Brand & Revenue Support
• Identify natural opportunities to enhance the experience (additional stops, upgrades, future bookings)
• Present add-ons or recommendations in a subtle, non-salesy manner
• Encourage long-term client relationships through exceptional service
Decision-Making Authority
The Tour Guide is trusted to independently:
• Adjust itineraries and timing in real time
• Resolve guest-facing issues calmly and confidently
• Make judgment calls that prioritize guest experience and brand integrity

• Confident, independent execution of private tours
• Consistently high guest satisfaction and positive feedback
• Strong command of brand tone and service standards
• Demonstrated situational awareness and proactive problem-solving
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year experience in Napa Valley wine, hospitality, or luxury tourism
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm, professional demeanor under pressure
• Local to Napa Valley with flexible availability
Preferred Attributes
• Deep familiarity with Napa Valley wineries, regions, and hospitality culture
• Background in luxury hospitality, guiding, or client-facing experiential roles
• Naturally personable, intuitive, and emotionally intelligent
• Strong sense of timing, flow, and presentation

This role is designed to evolve. Exceptional performance may lead to senior guide status, lead guide responsibilities, or expanded involvement in sales, product development, or client relations within 12–24 months.
