General Description of Duties
The Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Coordinator, under the direction of the Manager Supply Chain & Logistics, handles all warehouse related activities including shipping and receiving of finished goods, coordination with distributors and freight companies for the shipment of finished good orders, coordination of movements to and from other warehouse partners and internal transfers, receiving and organization of dry goods, and inventory organization and control. Maintains an organized, safety compliant warehouse. Assists with miscellaneous wine production and bottling activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Offload and receive incoming finished good inventory and incoming dry goods or other freight ensuring that all materials are received in good order and properly match packing slip/purchase order (quantity, description).
Coordinate with the accounting team to fulfill wholesale orders and communicate with the appropriate freight companies for pick up. Accurately pull all sales orders and see they are shipped in the appropriate time frame. Assure that the pulled stock matches the pick ticket. Ensure that all shipping documents are in order before loading and releasing to transportation companies.
Daily submission of all inbound/outbound shipping documentation to the accounting team.
Manage and keep accurate warehouse inventory at all times. Perform monthly inventory counts. Verify current inventories during the month when requested.
Facilitate the accurate pull and delivery of internal orders.
Drive a forklift safely in tight space constraints.
Practice the FIFO - First In First Out - system at all times.
Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse.
Maintain appropriate warehouse supplies.
Keep all related parties notified of stock issues.
Perform minor warehouse maintenance as needed.
Maximize storage space towards the goal of minimizing outside storage expenses.
Help during bottling as needed, under direction of the bottling supervisor
Help during harvest as needed, under the direction of the winemaking team
Help with side packaging projects (labeling shiners, pre-building cases, etc.) as needed
Skills/Experience:
Warehousing experience
Safe and accurate skill on a forklift
Attention to detail and organization
Computer skills - Excel spreadsheets/word documents/pdf BOL’s
Ability to pick up and restack 30-40lbs cases of wine and spirit - stacking and staging pallets with appropriate finished goods for orders
Ability to work extended hours when the need arises
