KEY SUCCESS FACTORS:
• Deep understanding of the Napa and Sonoma wine market, including AVAs, winemaking styles, and premium producer expectations.
• Strong network within the winemaking community, with a preference for candidates who reside locally or have deep regional ties.
• Ability to engage winemakers in technical conversations about barrel profiles, aging impact, and production objectives.
• Experience conducting or participating in winemaking trials; ex-winemakers with sales aptitude are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Relentless follow-up and comfort navigating long sales cycles with legacy brands.
• Proactive presence at key events, tastings, and industry gatherings to represent the Tonnellerie O brand with professionalism and authenticity.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Build long-term customer relationships by providing post-sale follow-up and support during harvest and aging cycles.
• Actively monitor competitive cooper activity, pricing, and usage trends within Napa to position Tonnellerie O effectively.
• Execute technical sales presentations, including sensory evaluations and trial setups tailored to individual winemaking styles.
• Develop and maintain a territory-specific account plan with clear objectives to grow barrel trial conversions and repeat sales.
• Contribute to our legacy of sustainability by understanding and communicating the significance of the trees that underpin our products.
• Utilize Dynamics 365, Customer Engagement to track sales activities diligently.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure unparalleled service and customer experiences.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Viticulture, Enology or a related field, embodying our character of being passionate and reliable.
• Minimum of 3 years sales experience, preferably in the wine industry, demonstrating a courageous and innovative approach to sales and relationship building.
• Exceptional organizational skills, self-sufficiency, and a demanding yet caring approach to all professional endeavors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with a drive to continuously engage in educational opportunities.
• Prior experience in barrel sales or production-related roles in the wine industry.
• Winemaking background, especially ex-winemakers with strong interpersonal and sales skills.
• Familiarity with the Napa and Sonoma winemaking community and AVA-specific barrel preferences.
• Demonstrated success in building technical credibility and consultative sales relationships.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Flexibility to work events outside normal business hours, representing our spirited work ethos and dedication to the industry.
• Capability to travel extensively, reflecting our commitment to sustaining relationships and expanding our brand's influence.
• Able and willing to work outside of regular work schedule to meet demands of the company.
• Comply with GMP/Food Safety rules, requirements, policies, procedures, PPE, guidelines that apply to Harv 81 Group - North America.

Salary Range
$70,000-$120,000 annually DOE
