ABOUT THE JOB
In leading the Private Client Group Services department, the role is responsible for the management of the PCG program, commercial initiatives, events & engagement, client relations, and PCG staff, while also occupying a place on the Senior Executive Management team for Wilson Daniels.

THE DAY-TO DAY
•  Lead and manage the PCG Department Staff, currently consisting of a Senior Manager, PCG Services, and an Associate Manager, PCG Services, both currently based out of the Napa, CA office. Both roles administratively support all aspects of PCG Department and both roles report to the Head of PCG Services.
•  Maintain leadership and knowledge over the current and prospective PCG membership (clientele) consisting of approximately 350 private wine enthusiasts/consumers based across the U.S.
•  Develop, plan, market and execute all PCG Sales Offerings, consisting of 4-5 curated offerings including wines from 25+ producers in the Wilson Daniels exclusive national import portfolio.
•  Develop, plan, market, execute, and host all PCG event and engagement initiatives, including marquee events scheduled around winery principal U.S. market visits, WD portfolio events, and other events related to winery/charitable/collector organizations. These events provide the platform for our personal engagement of existing clients and a main conduit for the network of candidate/future PCG clientele.
•  Develop, plan, market, execute, and host all PCG collector trips consisting of 2-3 curated experiences in wine regions with a high density of WD portfolio producers and/or other cultural/culinary/wine tourism related engagements.
•  Maintain excellent winery/supplier relations with key winery principals, ensuring that the wineries’ brand objectives and Wilson Daniels overall strategy are consistent in all PCG program initiatives.
•  Maintain excellent relationships and knowledge of the fine wine landscape, recognizing key estates that could be relevant for consideration in the Wilson Daniels national import portfolio.
•  Oversee budgetary responsibility and execution for all PCG commercial objectives, ensuring that all department-controlled budget and profit contribution goals are met and exceeded.
•  Exercise active communication on all PCG department matters with Wilson Daniels executive leadership and key internal support stakeholders including Finance, Marketing, Creative Services, and Operations departments.

AM I THE RIGHT FIT?
•  12+ years of experience in selling ultra fine wine
•  5+ years working with collectable fine wine (option house, private collector network, specialty retail, etc.)
•  8+ years of experience managing a department/team
•  Proficiency in French is a plus
•  Proficiency in Italian is a plus
•  Proficiency in Business Central and/or e-commerce websites is a plus
•  Experience in hosting and executing high-end, white glove experiences
•  Must be willing to travel domestically and Internationally (30% - 40%)
•  Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical and objection handling skills.
•  Persuasive public speaking and presentation skills are a must
•  Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
•  Computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT) are a must
