Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and professional individual to join our team at a small, family-owned boutique winery on a full-time basis. As a valuable member of our hospitality and sales team, your role will involve creating exceptional experiences for our winery guests within a collaborative and team-oriented environment. At our family operation, we believe in the power of teamwork, and everyone contributes to various tasks to ensure smooth operations and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Your responsibilities will encompass a range of essential duties, including housekeeping, glass polishing, appointment scheduling, and other operational tasks shared by all team members. By actively engaging with our visitors and attending to their needs, you will play a crucial role in shaping their memorable experiences at our winery.

Professional Responsibilities:
•  Provide warm and enthusiastic education to guests about our wines, family history, and winemaking practices.
•  Set up and host wine tastings for visitors to the estate, creating exceptional guest experiences.
•  Build and strengthen relationships with current and new clients to promote and enhance the sale of Pestoni Family wines.
•  Perform opening and closing procedures daily for the Tasting Room.
•  Assist in restocking, packaging & shipping, and keeping an accurate inventory of wine and goods.
•  Continually monitor tasting and common areas to ensure safety and cleanliness.
•  Use our CRM to accurately facilitate wine orders and cash handling.
•  Accurately log information and communication for each customer in our CRM.
•  Familiarity with and promotion of wine clubs.
•  Field inbound calls appropriately regarding tasting reservations, and other topics and transfer to other team members as necessary.
•  Collaborate with other Team Members to identify and solve issues in the tasting room.
•  Support the hospitality team during winery events as needed.
•  Represent the brand at occasional off-site events.
•  Develop and maintain a working knowledge/interest in wine production and appreciation of the wine world.
•  Maintain familiarity with trade partners, local wineries, and other hospitality businesses, to act as a concierge for our guests.
•  Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/skills:
•  Knowledge of winemaking, viticulture, and the Napa Valley region.
•  Ability to work as a courteous and respectful team member at all times.
•  Preferred experience in winery sales, or luxury goods company.
•  Excellent communication and customer service skills.
•  Comfortable with public speaking, hosting small and large groups.
•  Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and POS software experience.
•  Previous wine-related sales experience is a plus.
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and grammar.
•  Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
•  Responsible Beverage Service training certificate (we will provide if necessary).
•  Flexibility in scheduling to ensure business needs are met, including the ability to work weekends and holidays.
•  Must be at least 21 years of age.
•  Valid CA Driver’s license.

Physical Requirements:
•  Ability to stand for long periods of time.
•  Ability to lift/move/carry 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
•  Occasionally bend, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch or climb.
