2025 Winemaking Internship – William Perry Winery

William Perry Winery is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic intern to join our winemaking team for the 2025 harvest season. This hands-on role offers a valuable opportunity to gain real-world experience in all aspects of wine process.

Position Overview:
As a Winemaking Intern, you will support daily cellar operations and play an integral role in maintaining our high standards of quality and cleanliness throughout the winemaking process. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to get involved in every phase of production.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with grape receiving and processing during harvest.

Sanitize winery equipment and facilities following standard operating procedures.

Participate in barrel work: filling, topping, stirring, and general maintenance.

Perform fermentation tasks including pump overs, punch downs, and pulse air.

Aid in bottling operations and wine filtration.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe cellar and warehouse environment.

Ensure quality control is upheld at every stage of production.

Support the winemaking team with additional cellar tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years old.

Available to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays during harvest.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Basic computer proficiency.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.

Able to operate a forklift (certification a plus; training available if needed).

Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform strenuous tasks for extended periods.

Comfortable working at heights (e.g., on scissor lifts or ladders).

Willing to work hard in wet, dirty conditions while upholding strict cleanliness standards.

Knowledge of general cellar equipment and basic maintenance is preferred.
