The General Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work. Work involves a variety of the following duties: replacing or repairing minor mechanical components, replacing or repairing minor electrical components, and replacing or repairing minor plumbing components.
The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $70,000. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package of medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, 401k with company match, employee purchase program (where licensed) and paid time off. If you are hired at Winebow, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Repairs and maintains facilities including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, minor HVAC equipment repairs, drywall, and painting.
• Performs preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment (conveyor systems, material handling equipment, dock doors, baler, shrink wrapper, etc.)
• Assists in contacting contractors and vendors for bid proposals.
• Perform periodic inspections of all systems and equipment. Monitor equipment operations and maintain equipment operating logs.
• Proficient use of test equipment and devices pertinent to building operating systems and analyze test results.
• Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences.
• Respond to emergency situations and perform all task necessary for the protection of occupants and property.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal office and warehouse environment.
EQUIPMENT/MACHINERY USED
Office equipment including telephone, fax machine, copier, computer, calculator, and printer, tools
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sitting, standing, kneeling, crawling, bending, reaching, manual dexterity, auditory and visual acuity; frequent lifting up to 70 pounds.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• High School Diploma or GED Required
• 3 - 5 years of directly related or closely related experience
• Knowledge of general maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.)
• Knowledge of electrical and plumbing codes and maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.)
• Knowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements.
• Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.
• Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
• Professional customer service skills.
• Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.
• Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
• Valid Driver's License
