Buli Limestone Wines is a family-owned boutique winery based in Fredericksburg, Texas. We craft premium wines from Texas and Tuscany, driven by a winemaking philosophy rooted in limestone-rich terroir, Mediterranean varietals, and honest craftsmanship. With a flagship tasting room on Park Street, we’re building a destination brand that pairs world-class wine with warm hospitality, cultural storytelling, and entrepreneurial ambition. We are now seeking a General Manager to join our leadership team and help bring our bold vision to life.
Position Summary
As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of tasting room operations, direct-to-consumer engagement, and brand development. This is a key leadership role with significant growth opportunity, working closely with ownership to scale our business, develop new ventures, and elevate Buli Limestone Wines into a nationally and internationally recognized name.
Core Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, schedule, train, and mentor the tasting room team
Build a culture of hospitality, accountability, and wine education
Oversee customer service and ensure an exceptional guest experience
Tasting Room & Business Operations
Manage all aspects of tasting room operations and daily logistics
Maintain wine and merchandise inventory, ordering, and POS systems
Ensure full compliance with TABC, health, and safety regulations
Assist in budgeting, financial tracking, and performance reporting
Sales & Wine Club
Grow onsite wine sales, club memberships, and brand loyalty
Manage wine club operations and provide a best-in-class member experience
Analyze sales data and help set monthly revenue goals
Marketing & Community Engagement
Support social media, email campaigns, and digital outreach
Plan and execute tasting room events, seasonal promotions, and local partnerships
Serve as an ambassador for the brand in the Texas Hill Country and beyond
Strategic Expansion & New Ventures
Manage the Park Street property and any future locations acquired
Lead the evaluation and potential buildout of an on-site custom crush facility
Explore and potentially launch complementary ventures (e.g., coffee shop, bakery)
Collaborate on curating a portfolio of Texas and Italian wines optimized for the Texas market
Expand distribution channels across local, regional, and national markets
Build and maintain strategic partnerships, both domestic and international
Develop Italian culinary and travel experiences for wine club members
Help position Buli Limestone as a destination winery, earning industry awards and recognition
Qualifications
7+ years of experience managing a tasting room, winery, or high-end hospitality venue
Proven leadership in team development, sales, and customer service
Wine knowledge required; WSET, CMS, or sommelier training preferred
Experience with DTC sales, wine clubs, and inventory management
Familiarity with POS and CRM systems (WineDirect, Commerce7, etc.)
Must be TABC certified or able to become certified promptly
Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
