Job Description:

Shea Wine Cellars is seeking harvest interns for the 2024 vintage.

We produce approx. 6000 cases of Pinot noir and Chardonnay sourced exclusively from Shea Vineyard. The winery and vineyard are located west of Newberg, Oregon.

Previous harvest and forklift experience is helpful but not required. Positions will last 6-8 weeks, beginning in late August/early September. The exact timing of the position depends on the growing season. Candidates must be able to perform physically demanding tasks and work some long days and weekends.

Harvest interns will become familiar with Shea Vineyard through extensive maturity sampling before picking begins. In the winery, interns will follow the progression of each vineyard block from fruit processing through fermentation to barrel, tasting and monitoring the development of the wines along the way.

Ideal applicants are motivated, reliable, show initiative and work well in a small team.
