We are currently seeking a professional, energetic and self-motivated administrative/human resources assistant to join our team.
Office Manager Support
•Assists the office manager in coordinating the president’s meetings, tasting and tour events
•Acts as the backup for maintaining the president’s calendar and coordinating travel schedules
•Acts as the facilities representative when the office manager is away from the office
•Researches, writes and coordinates content of all monthly employee newsletters and the calendar
•Makes daily post office run and also runs outside errands as directed
•Acts as primary receptionist back up, covering receptionist’s breaks, lunches and absences
•Coordinates with receptionist regarding inventory of office supplies
•Assists with office machinery maintenance and repair
•Tracks and records new green winery programs for the winery and vineyards and writes quarterly summary
•Assists the office manager with special projects and other special events at the winery
•Assists in preparation of annual American Harvest Workshop materials
Human Resources Support
•Tracks records pertaining to training, workers compensation, safety, benefits and recruitment
•Maintains all statutory pamphlet and benefit supplies. Maintains organization of related files
•Reviews documents required for I-9 compliance to confirm accuracy and completes and maintains the forms
•Assists with the recruiting process by sorting resumes, coordinating the phone screen and personal interview process, and conducting background and reference checks for final candidates including post-officer pre-employment physical exams
•Assists managers with safety training and ensures that all records/inspections are submitted monthly
•Coordinates company-wide annual trainings such as fire extinguisher training, CPR, first aid, annual hearing and respiratory testing, etc.
•Enters workers’ compensation incidents into the appropriate systems
•Annually updates the Hazmat Procedure binder
•Participates on committee and assists with company disaster plan
•Responsible for completion and submitting of appropriate paperwork to meet statutory requirements covering EEO-1, EDD, Workers’ Compensation, OSHA, etc.
•Coordinates the annual health & wellness fair
•Answers questions regarding the various benefit programs and tracks annual open enrollment material
•Designs, creates, and helps with any employee activities, flyers, incentives and event coordination
•Places business card orders coordinating with the HR manager
•Assists with harvest interns performing duties related to intern housing
Assignments involve work of a confidential nature, necessitating exposure to sensitive information and contacts requiring considerable discretion, judgment, tact and diplomacy as well as working knowledge of company policies, procedures and programs.

•College degree with human resources related course study preferred
•Two years of administrative support experience
•Intermediate skills in Microsoft Windows suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Advanced skills in Excel preferred
•High level of professionalism and the ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information and/or situations

•Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs for short periods
•Sufficient capability in cognitive reasoning to perform reception and clerical support duties with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
