Gundlach Bundschu Winery is seeking a Wine Club Supervisor who will perform all duties and functions as they relate to Wine Club operations and membership services. This position requires an expert level of customer service skills and an acute focus on increasing membership and retention while creating and improving membership programs and the guest experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Executes all aspects of wine club operations, sales, inventory and assists in program development to support consumer direct strategy. Maintains and builds relationships with members and guests and coordinates and communicates club information across all direct channels.
Develop and maintain relationships with new and established members of a growing wine club.
Coordinate and execute club communications including but not limited to welcoming, canceling or special communications to wine club customers and gift recipients on a timely basis.
Respond to all Wine Club emails and phone calls and process member orders on a daily basis.
Responsible for being primary customer service and sales contact for incoming Wine Club telephone calls.
Maintain customer database by recording and updating customer information/ orders/changes in appropriate manner in AMS and eWinery.
Build wine club clientele by following up on leads from the tasting room or other communications, via telephone.
Performs as Wine Club ambassador for GB brand and family, ensuring all communications reflect the vision of the winery, family and the brands
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, OPERATIONS, SALES & COMMUNICATION:
Create and review monthly sales report utilizing it to develop the Wine Club business goals.
Manage and maintain master timeline to meet deadlines for all club operations, sales and membership initiatives.
Perform all duties and functions of club operations including batch billing, creating and processing orders, club wine inventory logistics, exporting and distributing data files, managing expired and declined credit cards and updating internal reports with status information.
Participate with DSM to develop a plan to lead the Wine Club to greater sales.
Maintain awareness of competitive market through research and benchmarking.
Monitor and review Club web page to ensure accuracy and to improve the member’s online experience.
Work directly with hospitality and event departments to coordinate, develop, plan, promote and hosts special events for wine club customers.
Represents winery at outside functions as needed.
Update and adhere to state compliance laws.
Manage and maintain Wine club monthly sales and membership goals to achieve sales success.
Promote and monitor Wine Club incentive plans with Hospitality representatives.
Acquires and maintains thorough knowledge of winery and its wines.
Supports DSM with DTC outbound calling campaigns and seasonal promotional offerings.
Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

Two-Five years related experience with commitment to excellence and high standards.
One-Two years wine club experience.
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.

Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages with accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
Experience with AMS Software.
Knowledge of wines and wine production.
Work is mainly performed in a charming bedroom office and in a winery/cellar environment.
